first it took me a while to get mess running each system (you need all kinds odf roms and bioses) then when you open the game all you have is somehing like dos prompt, then you download some bbc micro manuals and see how to program in basic and assembler but not how to run the game, then finally you find that *CAT command lists the names of programs on the tape and *CHAIN "game" runs the game, but every fifth game is realy working and you have to find what keys are used for playingīut aside from all that kids loved BBC experience and even tried to write their own programs in basicĮdited by blur, 13 April 2010 - 02:46 PM. you want and download via torrent, usenet. Some kind of colection like this is being done with every major front end - like 3d arcade, hyperspin, or mala, but it's dificult to find a complete pack with games and artwork - usualy you need years of work untill you get a decent working setup - like that 3darcade pack posted few weeks ago. It doesn't have to be complete collection, but it would be nice to show kids how spectrum, comodore, atari and bbc looked like. Is it possible to find it? is there some project that collects all this? I found some complete collection of mame games without problems (some torents or rapidshares usualy apear if you search google or pirate bay)įor mess there is no such collection, mess emulates thousands of systems and for each system there are thousands of games, so go and multiply thatĪny way i'm looking for something similar what mame has - some collection of artworks, images, control panels, screenshots, histories, roms and manuals for these games so mame and mess together can emulate anything that ever existed, although there might be some better emus for some platforms then mess Mess is developed together with mame, mame emulates arcade machines and mess emulates computers and consoles that had the same cpu-s as arcade machines.
